Surrey League Road Race Report
#6 - 3--alistair--Surrey League Road Race Report--2005-06-27 10:12:34
#Some 44 riders turned up for the Nomads Surrey League promotion held on the Wivelsfield circuit on Thursday night the 23rd of June. Scott was best placed in 19th position. Graham was unfortunately lapped due would you believe to his false teeth falling out at a crucial stage of the event. There has to be so many leg pullings about this so I will wait until the club dinner to see if anybody remembers this in cross toasting. Mark punctured but may have been on hand to pick up Grahams teeth.
Alistair was en route filming so the club should shortly have another copy of events.
Both Howard and myself were commissars at the Giles Reese Memorial road race at
Handcross. I also managed the first day of the Surrey league 5 day at Ladies mile
Groombridge. This event is open to 2nd and 3rds and should be seriously considered for
next year. We should shortly do a risk assessment for the Surrey league on a revised Wivelsfield course, which should be approved prior to the 2006 event.
